we've just return from this wonderful island, despite that the first impression was kind of terrible concerning the place we've staid at, and that we were supposed to do a lot more than what we've done there.
i guess the disappointment was that we've expected too much,
but to be honest we all had a really great time there.

After laying my camera down for a long time, and not shooting anything good.
I had this event I was covering in Multimedia University (MMU), Melaka.
And I was assigned for the job ..

there was attending some VVIPs and many VIPs officiated by Tun. Dr. Mahathir Mohamad.former prime minister of Malaysia. and also minister of malaka if i'm not mistaken, cant remember the name.: dry:

Well it was a really tough experience to be in the middle of real press people and fight and push each other to get the best of it, that was really a kind off a martial art, all of them geared with big agencies DSLRs and lenses that seemed to be like bazookas, and many of them hit my head so many times until I felt the dizziness of the sea .. hahah ..
Yah I really suffer until the moment bones pain all over my body, been working on that event for a continuous 12 hours, with so much work, and not only photographing, I was helping to prepare the stage and lighting and some irrelative stuff, I totally dehydrated and almost faint in the middle of the hall .. that was TOUGH I’m telling you ..
But worth all the effort ..

The event was titled: 3 days around the world
Objectives: an exhibition to show and learn many different cultures form all over the world, as well as the culture night which was about dancing and stage performances
Date: 5th April 2006
Venue: Main Hall, Multimedia Univirsity ( MMU ), Melaka Campus

anyways .. plz no critics for the photos
that was extreme using my Nikon D70 + kit lens 18-70mm without an external flash

i was shooting in a hurry .. but love the shallow DOF when zoomed to 300mm ..
and one thing i've noticed is the colors .. erm .. something different about it ..
after getting this lens i've noticed the importance of a tripod now .. the photo shakes like it was on a vibrator ..
so it would only work out for me for daylight shootings .. and i think with this i can start street shooting, it's hard for people to notice that you're taking their picture .. haha

but one thing i had trouble with .. when i attempted to catch my friend’s portrait .. i know i had to mount my 18-70mm for that ..
but i just tried with the 70-300mm and had to stand about 5m from a person to take a full body shot while zoomed on min. (70mm) .. so if i needed to take a head shot at 300mm i'll need a walkie-talkie ha ..

This Fashion Show was part of an event called EduCare in Multimedia University, Melaka campus

had some shots of the models .. regarding that there wasn't a reall runway and was a bit hard to get the right angles .. but hell yah .. i love the lightings

last night (2:22 am ) i just got this idea to try out .. and it was freaking lots of work on that one ..

they're not that good .. i'm satisfied with the ideas .. but not the results ..

as i usually do .. lighting is so much fun to experience with ..
today i was thinking about doing a portfolio ... thought why don't i have any photos of products on my galleries .. but just to let you know it's not the first time trying this type of photo shooting .. but first time i try black backgrounds .. and infact it's not so black .. it's dark blue .. but hell yah . i made it looks black .. .
anyways enjoy my 2 photos .. they're two coz didn't find much things to shoot .. but i will try some more ..

and still .. not the proper lens .. urghhh .. can't wait to put my hands on a 50mm f/1.8 lens or a macro lens ..
